Prof. Dr. Alejandra Galván Gómez
Engineer in Food Industries, with an official master’s degree in Olive Grove and Olive Oil from the University of Jaén – Spain, with 15 years of experience in the food sector in the area of Quality Assurance and Management in olive oil industries, leading audits of national and international quality and safety certifications.
Co-author of the first book for children in Peru, “Learning from the Peruvian olive tree” which won first place in the Food Books for Children category at the international event Gourmand World Cookbook Awards 2023 organized in Umea – Sweden.
Host of the online cultural program “Mundo Olivo” which aims to educate, advise and disseminate about the technique, technology and quality of virgin Olive Oil, as well as the promotion of its consumption, member of Women in Olive Oil (WIOO) and member of international jury panel in olive oil competitions. She completed her training in Sensory Analysis in Olive Oil at the National University of Cuyo, Mendoza – Argentina.
Consultant and director of Mundo AOVE which provides consulting services in diagnosis, implementation of quality and safety according to food legislation in the area of restaurants and related services as well as in the food industry. He is currently working in the area of quality assurance in an olive oil producing company in Tacna-Peru.
